Etape Royale on The Cycle Show

​In case you missed it the Etape Royale was featured on ITV4 on Thursday 23rd July 2015. The show featured our 100 mile route being taken on by our event ambassador Mark Beaumont and event director David Fox-Pitt on penny farthing bicycles, yes really! The Cycle Show episode will be online until 22nd August 2015.

On Thursday 2nd July Managing Director of organisers WildFox Events, David Fox-Pitt, and world record-breaking cyclist and event ambassador, Mark Beaumont, cycled the entire 100-mile route on penny farthing bicycles in 13 hours 40min. The challenge was filmed for the ITV program The Cycle Show and the episode will be shown on 23rd July 2015. It is also raising funds for the Mercy Corps Nepal earthquake appeal.

Mark Beaumont - Event Ambassador

​We are delighted to announce world record breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont as our official event ambassador for the 2015 Etape Royale. Mark recently completed his #africasolo expedition from Cairo to Cape Town breaking the previous world record by a massive 17 days. He set a new record of 41 days 10 hours and 22 minutes for cycling 6718 miles (10,812km) the length of Africa. Mark left Cairo Tower on April 10th and finished at Mouillie Point, Cape Town on May 21st after cycling an average of 160 miles a day. To find out more about Mark you can visit his website HERE
